The band, Atrocities, contained of 4 members, Haikal and Dinie on the guitar's, Fahmi on the drum's and the stand-in bassist and vocalist, Adlan. It was a bright day outside and things were looking up for these 4 guys. They met at Tampines MRT. As usual, Adlan was the first to arrive and seeing that the guys hasnt arrived, he thought to himself, "Ahh as usual, always late.." Haikal was 2nd to arrive and both chatted 'til kingdom come.
The train arrived and they took their seats, It seemed that there were many Malays on-board, "Its Chinese New Year, Duh." Fahmi said. It was a noisy interval during the train ride.
It felt like they were waiting for 2050 when they finally arrived at their destination, City Hall. The Quartet moved on to their final destination at Peninsular, only to get their hearts broken when the whole centre was closed, due to Chinese New Year. It was Fahmi, Dinie and Haikal's thinking to think of a new place to jam, and they thought of Fyeworkz at Katong. While Adlan just blithly sat on urine-filled underground pass.
Hungry as usual, they went ahead to Raffles Place to have a not-so-hearty meal at Burger King. They had to hurry their meals due to time constraint, and Adlan didn't find that a hard task as he chowed down his platter in world record time, but all good things come to an end they say, as he suffered a major hiccup.
It was suffocating as they walked down the hot Lion City path just to get to the train staion. Their destination was Simei to take a special bus.
Along the way to the bus-stop, Dinie's guitar bag strap broke, causing the guitar to fall on the hard pavement below. "Oh my word!""Fuck!""hahaha" the other 3 said. It was truly a sad moment for Dinie. But they continued anyways. Fahmi decided to take the taxi as they were almost late. It was a hard search for taxis as it was Chinese New Year, Oh dear..
They finally reached Katong Complex after their search for available taxis ended. The whole band was feeling lethargic and thirsty, after a tiring climb up the bridge. By that time it was already 5.38PM, another 2 minutes more until they were late. They hurried past the closed departmental stores in the shopping centre and there it was. FYREWORKZ. The place for jamming. The place where there is air-con. The place where its so called heaven for them.
They played through songs like Avenged Sevenfold's Reminissions, Chapter 4, Unholy Confessions and Second Heartbeat, Chiodos's unamed song and their own songs all in an hour half. But again it was Dinie's bad luck today because the tunings of his guitar wasnt in tune due to the hard fall it had along the way. Poor, poor Dinie.
As the jam session ended, all their morales were high. They hung out a while and took happy pictures. As they went home and all feeling happy and relaxed, The journey ended...
